Maurice Toder

Director, Sales and Marketing Management

Maurice Toder has been in the executive search business for over for over 25 years. After graduating and receiving a B.A degree in Communications he started his career in Los Angeles, as a Food Packaging sales representative. After a company-wide reorganization Maurice walked into a search firm looking to be placed, but was hired on by the search firm to start a new up and coming field of recruiting in the packaging, food service and hospitality markets.

Maurice envisioned a new business opportunity in a market that had hardly been touched. He developed and cultivated that model for the firm, while achieving numerous awards as a top producer and training manager.

He was then recruited by the legendary Tony Burns (a motivational guru of that era), who was the manager of a Sales Consultants office looking to expand into new markets. Over the next several years Maurice grew that business and earned his C.R.C certificate. He became a corporate trainer and group manager responsible for the training and development for new hires.

Later he moved to Corporate Search of CA. where he was responsible for developing and growing National Accounts business in the same industry. He developed relationships with cutting edge companies like Nike, Mitsubishi, Starbucks, Aramark and Fechhiemer, a division of Berkshire Hathaway.

Maurice moved back to the New York area and began developing the same business model for a firm in New York City. Despite an economic downturn in the post-911 markets in the search business, Maurice was still able to grow the business by just digging in and doing some good old-fashioned marketing.

Maurice learned a good lesson during that very difficult time that has stayed with him throughout his years as a national recruiter. “The opportunities today are as good as ever, the good companies you want to work with will always look at people that can make a difference. You need to believe in yourself, stay focused, have passion and make that call.”
