Brief Description

As a Senior Bridge/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design and plan development tasks and performing structural analysis and design of a variety of structure types, with the majority of these tasks associated with highway infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with the desire to provide management and technical leadership to a talented group of professionals spanning all career levels. You will also be expected to assist in business development, marketing, and project pursuits that will help to further strengthen our presence in the transportation market across multiple states.


  • Manage bridge/structural tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production
  • Assist in the development of project proposals, scope, and schedules
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain engineering budgets
  • Serve as a quality assurance team review member and mentor for bridge/structural engineers
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants and in-house technical staff to meet project deadlines, as required

Requirement Note
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis (M.S. a plus)
  • Current West Virginia P.E. registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant bridge/structural design experience
  • Strong technical skills relevant to bridge/structural design and analysis
  • Experience in leading Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with marketing, business development, project pursuits, and proposal preparation
  • Technical leadership qualities and ability to interact positively with clients
  • Experience mentoring and developing technical capabilities of mid- and entry-level staff
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Microstation or other drafting software a plus
