Brief Description

Nationally based client with headquarters in Jericho is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analysts for their US Headquarters. The Senior Business Analyst’s role will work to deliver system enhancements, support and training to a wide range of 3rd party and custom in-house software applications. The Analyst will report to the Manager of Applications and be responsible for business requirement gathering, define systems requirements, technical documentation and assist with implementations and training.

  • Working with business stakeholders and internal users to gather requirements and define systems requirements.

  • Liaison with business units, IT and vendors to under business needs and enhancement requirements.

  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.

  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

  • Act as a Project Manager overseeing entire process of small system enhancements.

  • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.

  • Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

  • Will manage user support requests, report validation, application testing, and support of the broader IT team as required.

Requirement Note
  • Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst/ Application Support experience.

  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field is preferred

  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to develop and interpret technical documentation for training end users

  • Ability to perform comparison testing to assist in identifying irregularities occurring in a report or process

  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills in order to liaison with business unit leaders, IT and end user population

  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques

  • Experience supporting Salesforce, Zoom, NetDocuments, Hyperion Financials. MRI and any Real Estate & Property Management focused software is a huge plus.
