Brief Description

This position reports to the President and Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the design standards and aesthetics for all of our client's areas, which includes events, hospitality and customer experiences.

This role drives the style presentation of our food for both proprietary aesthetics and customized client or partner aesthetics.  

Specifics responsibilities will include;

  • Lead a team of design professionals responsible for supporting a large diversified portfolio of business

  • Undertake continuous market research, identify trends and understand changing consumer preferences to inform design strategy. Understand and translate that food is fashion

  • Setting mood board and design for client / event engagement as it relates to food. Work collaboratively with event staff and partners as needed

  • Working collaboratively with the culinary team to build a comprehensive view that includes design, food and customer experience

  • Research and Develop new approaches and styles for presenting food.   Partner with culinary to translate trends and ideas into practical stations and service styles

  • Create a vision and direction for service style and food presentation for a variety of design aesthetics and venue requirements

  • Manage the overall department budget, oversee vendors and 3rd party service providers

  • Act as subject matter expert and consultant for clients as needed





Requirement Note

Experience Preferred

  • Ability to have visionary, big picture perspective

  • Strong communication skilsl and an ability to translate creative direction to the design team in addition to the sales function and the onsite execution team

  • A multi-disciplinary designer who can see a project from conception to delivery

  • Experience across diverse design functions including, but not limited to, graphic design, event design, interior design, styling and merchandising.

  • Interest in or experience working in hospitality or related industries

  • Demonstrated, excellent presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations and experience presenting to all levels of an organization

  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures

  • Proven record of managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget

  • Ability to manage a diverse and creative workforce focusing on development and delivery
