Position Title: Information Technology (IT) Sr. Director

Reports To: President         

Position Summary:

Responsible for all our clients technology, Information Technology (IT) strategic direction, oversight of vendor technology products and platforms, ensuring appropriate levels of information privacy and security oversight and controls, and management of the IT function for the organization.


  • Oversee internal and external day-to-day IT operations for our client providing overall management of technology vendor(s) and staff, developing the IT governance model, and a comprehensive on-going IT project management plan.


  • Oversee investments in technology hardware, software, and talent to meet the goals and objectives of our client. Ensure that all initiatives in the IT portfolio have clear business goals and success metrics.


  • Maintain the Design the architecture for complex systems with constantly evolving requirements


  • Provide strategic direction and vision to direct the overall design of our clients technology platform to ensure that our client's current and future business goals can be met


  • Recommend the acquisition of computer and other information systems and applications to achieve the goals of the company


  • Assist in the creation and management of procurement processes for the acquisition of technology products and services.


  • Initially, this role will collaborate with our clients staff and the stakeholders, including , operation staff, Management, Venders and others, to ensure the successful solution implementation to ongoing initiatives, ensuring that sufficient privacy and security, functionality and testing of solutions


  • In addition, lead technology operations project work plans; manage change requests and requirements


  • Manage vendor and internal solutions including developing and monitoring, maintenance plans, and developing and ensuring adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) where amplifiable


  • Direct technology strategy and operations, including management of computer hardware and software, telecommunications and networks


  • Enforce and monitor compliance with company policies on the use of computers, internet, and data


  • Develop the budget for IT department and information technology apparatus of the organization.

Requirement Note



  • The ability to assemble and lead the IT team is an essential part of the Senior IT director job description. IT management skills also include planning, budgeting and clearly instructing employees.



  • Must be decisive as to IT personnel matters
  • Acquiring or recommending technological infrastructure and solving problems
  • Competency in decision making which involves examining strengths, weaknesses, and consequences of particular actions or approaches. Certain emergency scenarios, such as malfunctions caused by viruses, necessitate quick action or advice by the manager.



  • Executives and others in the organization need easily-understood explanations of information technology matters. Computer and other information systems involve highly technical terms and procedures.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required; Master’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science strongly preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience managing/directing technology and information resources
  • Experience providing strategic IT direction.
  • Experience in directing groups of analysts and developers working on complex system projects to meet deliverables with tight timeframes.
  • Ability to communicate with, and support the technological requirements for internal and external Steak holders. Strong operational, organizational and negotiation skills required.
  • Proven project management skills, including experience managing technology vendors and vendor relations. Experience designing and monitoring technology service level agreements.
  • Health care background and knowledge preferred
  • Experience with electronic data interchange (EDI) and health care data privacy and security preferred.
  • Candidate must be team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a very fast-paced organization
