Brief Description

Our client is seeking a Chief Finance Officer to join a Account Receivables, 3rd Party Collection entity to take over an existing, finance and accounting department managing the day-to-day requirements across several entities, multiple bank accounts, billing structures, client’s remittances and audits. In addition, they will also lead and partner with the CEO on various company-wide financial initiatives such as financial planning and adherence to budget, and optimizing contracts, costs, pricing and opportunities to further leverage the company’s assets. This is a highly visible position, serving on the company’s leadership, and interacting with external stakeholders.

 

You’ll be expected to navigate effectively between the tactical and strategic, build and coach a growing team on complex tasks, deliver impeccable results on a tight time table, and “see around the corner” on financial issues and needs while working with peers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting – responsible for the oversight of the General Ledger and the preparation of regular financial reports.
  • Financial Operations – directs the financial operations of the Company to ensure that appropriate processes and controls are in place to manage the collection and recording of revenue and the approval and processing of distributions to ensure that all transactions are processed in an efficient, accurate, timely and legally compliant fashion.
  • Budgeting and Planning – In collaboration with the CEO and senior management, shares a major leadership role in defining resource allocation (capital and otherwise) and executing budget processes.
  • Financial Audit – responsible for the oversight of the preparation for, and the conducting of an annual audit of all financial operations
  • Financial Leadership – Expected to be an engaged member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Strategic Financial Analysis and Forecasting – Expected to develop and maintain a financial dashboard of key metrics for real time decision making.
  • Unit Management – responsible to (either directly or through subordinates) select, train, and manage the finance staff and departmental budget

 


Requirement Note

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related field, required
  • Accounting system customization experience
  • Excel and QuickBooks expertise, required
  • Experience working the ARM/3rd Party Collection industry
  • Strategic thinker able to apply financial planning and analysis principles to develop company strategy
  • Familiar with enterprise tools and managing multiple entities within the 3rd Party Collections industry
  • Experienced manager, highly skilled operator, able to mentor others into great performance, hitting tight goals with high accuracy
  • Strong understanding of forecasting and budgeting, and proven ability to hold others accountable to meet budget goals
  • Excellent communicator both orally and in writing, knack for great presentations
