Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative products which provide sustainable solutions for the construction and engineering communities. They are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager for the Civil Division. The preferred candidate would live near Houston area; however, the territory is multi-state. With over seven decades of experience my client is able to offer a lucrative compensation package which includes a generous base salary and uncapped commission potential. The Civil Sales Manager can market to an enormous customer base which includes entities in the private and public sectors such as national and regional engineering firms, marine and general contractors, specialty contractors, and government agencies from the local to the federal level.  The best part is there is minimum competition with a wide-open market. The Civil Sales Manager must have extensive experience selling to engineering firms and general contractors and the ability to travel 30%-40% of the time.

 Essential Functions

  • Generates and develops new business through customer interaction to meet specified sales goals.  

  • Maintains and nurtures existing client relationships.  

  • Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.  

  • Prepares and presents technical sales presentations and proposals to large engineering and contracting firms.  

  • Plans and manages sales territory with regular reporting to Director  

  • Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers  

  • Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed.  

  • Negotiates contracts and sales orders.  

  • Project management, scheduling.

  • Accurate forecasting.


Requirement Note

 

  • 5 years of outside sales experience (prefer experience working with contractors, engineers and architects) with a history of growing sales, exceeding goals and penetrating markets.

  • 4-year degree (prefer background in Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration)

  • Civil Engineering/Civil Construction background preferred.

  • Experience using SalesForce.

  • Must have experience leading technical product presentations.

  • Must know how to write/review specifications and plans.
