Our client, a leader in the Disaster Restoration industry, based in the Houston Texas area, with additional offices in Austin and San Antonio, is seeking a General Manager to lead the operations of the company.

 

This is a rapidly growing organization with a young, vibrant, fast paced culture, who is looking for someone who can lead, mentor and communicate effectively within that environment.



Position Summary / Purpose

  • Maintain overall function of all day to day branch operations.
  • Manage and oversee branch personnel,
    supervising branch operations, and ensuring efficient operation on a day-to-day basis.
  • Facilitate the timely and profitable delivery of all services for their specific branch while maintaining company standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Acquire customers through the conversion of sales leads from defined market
    segments into profitable business.
  • Help retain customers by fulfilling the company's contractual obligations
    through the timely completion of our restoration and construction services.
  • Provide staff support to user departments in the form of consultation, information and services related to staffing, training, documentation, inventory, equipment purchases and maintenance, record keeping, housekeeping and employee relations.





Requirement Note

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage and assist with all department supervisors each morning to dispatch, coordinate and assist
with team huddles.
* Active participation in weekly executive meetings
* Provide weekly flash reports to President
* Provide weekly manager reports to President
* Actively use company HR system to document all employee relations as needed
* Actively use and monitor dashboards for all departments in Restore
* Monitor and manage branch revenue and gross profit
* Meet all company mandated KPI's and Sales Goals
* Assist with employee retention initiatives
* Manage any/all customer disputes and/or complaints through resolution
* Manage and assist with vendor acquisition

* Create repeat customers by exceeding their expectations for quality and delivery of disaster restoration
and construction services
* Exceed company targets for client / customer satisfaction
* Exceed company targets for quality ratings
* Maintain production capacity through adequate staffing, equipment and supplies management
* Hire, train, develop, discipline and discharge Operations employees
* Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs to all production equipment and vehicles
* Coordinate jobs and estimates with claims manager
* Assign new projects to Estimators and Project Managers
* Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
* Assist in writing and updating operating systems
* Assist accounting department in collections

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
* Facilitate meetings with employees
* Perform minor repairs on equipment and vehicles
* Be available to assist with emergency or CAT situations after hours
o Keep company cell phone ON and available at all times
* Perform production work as needed

* Participate in trade associations, shows, workshops and community organizations

Decision Rights and Authority
* Hiring and discharge of operations personnel
* Input into development of strategic objectives related to the branch operation
* Purchases within the budget established in the strategic plan
* Apply approved criteria and performance level assessments in the selection and evaluation of
subcontractors authorized to work on company projects

Working Relationships and Scope
* Purchase of all equipment and vehicles in excess of $2,500 will be authorized in advance by the CEO.
* Clear understanding of, and effective communication with, the Sales and Marketing team to insure
consistency of company capabilities and capacity with marketing and sales strategies and target
markets.

* Maintain close communication and effective working relationships with sales, operations, human
resources, finance and administration departments.
