Brief Description


The Director of A/R & Client Engagement provides leadership for the patient accounting operations of one of its larger hospital clients, or a group of smaller clients. Reporting to the Asst. Vice President of Insurance Operations, the Director will serve be responsible to ensure the daily operations and performance excellence established by our client and its client for third party insurance operations. The Director will own, cultivate and enhance the client relationship by routinely meeting with the client management team and key members of the revenue cycle team. 


This individual will also be responsible to:

⦁ Manage the liquidity and oversight of assigned hospital accounts, ensuring aging and recovery expectations are met.

⦁ Establish and deliver operational processes to provide effective client solutions based on proven best practices in receivables management and information technology.

⦁ Develop and maintain relationships with key payors to enhance revenues and collections.

⦁ Ensure that quality and productivity standards are set, understood and monitored across the operation.

⦁ Ensure that all functions and individuals responsible for client delivery are performing at the highest standards.

⦁ Utilize multiple internal and external processing systems, operational processes, and reporting mechanisms in order to compile and analyze statistical data and identify systems performance issues to implement necessary and required changes.  

Requirement Note



⦁ Extensive Client/Account Relationship Management experience and a record of accomplishment that demonstrates the ability to develop, deliver and maintain client relationships in a consultative capacity.

⦁ 10+ years of comprehensive experience in the management and detailed analysis and audit  of hospital receivables, either directly in a large hospital/health system or as a revenue cycle consultant within a large consultancy.

⦁ In-depth  understanding of healthcare and collection industry laws and regulations.

⦁ Proven expertise in accounts receivable management best practices  including  Medicare and third party insurance billing,  denial and appeal processing,  ICD-10, CPT, HCPC codes, and UB and 1500 claims forms.

⦁ Strong analytical, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

⦁ Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline.

⦁ Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office applications  to create detailed  data analysis and reporting.

⦁ Working from our corporate offices in New Castle, Delaware, and requiring routine travel for on-site meetings at the client site(s).
