Brief Description

 

District Sales Manager for the assigned geographic area will be responsible for the development, growth and management of all the accounts in the territory for the hospitality division, including sales growth, account development and business management. The manager will also be responsible for acquiring new accounts for the Brand and must have the ability to become knowledgeable of the assigned territory including:

  • All products and product lines.

  • Understanding of the marketplace and potential for each account.

  • Competitive arena he/she will be operating in.

The person will be responsible for developing a professional account partnership to grow the business and exceed sales plan.

 

He / She will treat the territory as if it were his/her business and will be responsible for input on commercial and marketing as well as product demand and development that will support increased sales.

 

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:

The territory manager will operate in the assigned geographic territory. The job will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The person will interface will all functions of the Company including customer service, shipping department, marketing, credit department, finance department.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish goals and forecasts for the territory in accordance with the Company’s guidelines and directions.

  • Exceed sales goals.

  • Maximize relationship with customers directly managing accounts in the territory.

  • Present and sell the hospitality collection to current and potential clients.

  • Follow-up on leads and referrals from field activity / Identify sales prospects and contact them.

  • Identify and resolve client concerns.

  • Prepare analytical sales reports and monthly key account review.

  • Understand the market potential and current customers.

  • Create a development plan for the territory.

  • Identify prospective areas for growth and new opportunities.


Requirement Note

 

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry a must.

  • Existing relationship with hospitality clients.

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations / Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Professional appearance.

  • Work requires local travel and a limited amount of domestic travel to attend tradeshows as well as international travel to France when required for training and/or meetings.

  • Computer proficiency including excellent knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Good reporting system and internal communication with the team.
