Our client, a very well-established, yet growing commercial finance enterprise is currently seeking a Vice President of Collections. If you’re a senior level executive with strong experience in 1st or 3rd party collections, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

The purpose of the VP, Collections position is to drive operational strategies for customer service, collections, and call center technology. We are looking for a COO that knows how to build the best team and the right culture to deliver consistent, predictable outcomes. The VP is expected to bring “best practices” and strategies capable of dramatically growing the business while delivering the highest levels of excellence. The COO role will be asked to optimize existing processes and build new ones that create greater efficiency, to manage strategic assets including staff, and to integrate technology, compliance and risk management into every day behaviors.


• Must be able to establish a working environment that is organized, efficient, and secure
• Optimize collections and call center operations performance
• Develop optimal servicing strategies for a fast-growing portfolio that can scale to effectively service and collect on an increasing number of accounts
• Create a reputation among customers by delivering services of the highest quality
• Increase efficiency and productivity of assets
• Be able to present to Board of Directors on a monthly basis
• Develop best practice training programs to ensure competency of staff
• Set up clear objectives and key measures

Requirement Note

This position requires an individual with highly developed leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, strategic insight, broad business and financial services management experience, ability to address both revenue and the cost challenges of a P&L, must have expert-level knowledge in call center and collection operations, IT and customer service, with an entrepreneurial mind. The position requires an individual who is a master of change, to help translate the strategic vision into action. The position requires a collaborative individual who is comfortable making decisions, comfortable working on the frontlines of implementing business transformation within a fast-changing corporate and external environment.


The ideal Candidate has either owned their own company or been a senior executive at a fast growing, entrepreneurial company where building great teams was critical.
Our client is happy to speak with candidates currently in a Vice President or Senior Vice President role in collections or servicing, preferably with exposure to sub-prime portfolios.


• 10+ years of operational leadership – Have held any of these titles: Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Collections or Director of Collections
• Proven ability to foster a culture of communication with all stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of Call Center and collections
• Experience in the subprime lending arena ideal
• Expertise in the set-up and implementation of new technology
• Creating benchmarking tools to measure against peers
• Tech-Savvy with knowledge of technological and IT trends in the financial services sector
• Best practices within the collections, financial services and loan servicing sector
• Values developing and growing others for success
• Understanding of analytical and predictive models
• Comfortable operating at both a strategic and “in the trenches” level
