Brief Description

 

Reporting to the CEO and COO, the Social Media Manager will collaborate in the strategic planning, creative execution and day-to-day administration of social media activities for G Fuel.

We are looking for a creative and analytical individual to work with our Marketing team, CEO and COO to bring our story to life and build our digital community. Our ideal candidate will help drive awareness and boost company exposure via content partnerships with influencers and original content development. A deep understanding of the social media landscape, trends and platforms is required for this role. A strong pulse on influencers, emerging talent, and digital talent is also required in order to concept, plan and execute content programs with a social media lens.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Marketing team CEO and COO to continue to develop and enhance overall social strategy that supports goals, drives brand awareness and sales, and builds our digital community.
  • Plan, manage, and execute social media campaigns and promotions
  • Work with our Marketing team, photographers, videographers and influencers to capture and create content native to relevant social media formats and ensure is telling a cohesive story on all platforms
  • Come up with new, scrappy content ideas and capture content on a weekly basis to remain nimble and maintain always-on presence
  • Engages daily with our community - answering questions, continuing the conversation, and sharing our communities content.
  • Maximize traffic, engagement, and growth potential across all platforms, with a high focus on Instagram and Twitter.
  • Post content daily to social platforms.
  • Write smart, clever copy for social features and posts.
  • Report on new trends, features, and data on social platforms.
  • Work with others on the Marketing team to determine the proper KPIs and tools necessary to measure social media content;
  • Analyze data, write concise metrics recaps and report on the success of our social media channels and content

Requirement Note

 

The ideal candidate will have +/- 3 years of previous experience in social media marketing and a Bachelor’s degree. In addition, the candidate will possess:

  • Superb writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong competence with social media tools: HTML, PhotoShop, InDesign, FinalCut, etc.
  • Familiarity with social reporting tools and the ability to extract insights from data
  • Detail-oriented. Able to simultaneously manage a number of projects
  • A creative-thinker. Has ability to populate a high volume of new content ideas
  • Analytical. Has a keen understanding of social media KPIs by post type and platform, how to track to business objectives and how to analyze data to craft narratives and reports
  • 2-3 years of experience in social media, with an emphasis on Instagram.
  • A good visual eye with a photo journalism or writing background preferred.
  • Experience navigating multiple stories/topics while building a cohesive digital story-telling strategy.
  • Ability to write and edit conversational social posts and packages in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data and analytics to help team drive social strategy.
  • Flexible to workflow changes as platforms evolve.
  • Very strong communication and collaboration skills.
