VP of Client Services, Coding Division


Summary of Position:


Oversee the operations of various Clients, including physician groups and hospitals/facilities. Work as liaison with clients, Project Managers, off-shore project leaders, and off-shore Operations Directors and Managers. Reports to the COO.


Job Duties:

  • Provide effective communication (written, verbal, non-verbal, and electronic) to clients and colleagues.
  • Supports performance improvement by assisting with chart audits, and other collaborative activities as assigned.
  • Communicates any concerns regarding coding, documentation, section issues and/or department issues.
  • Responsible for assessing and advising upper management on Client Services issues, including both emergent and systemic.
  • Work as liaison with clients and Project Managers in responding to their needs and requests on a timely basis.
  • Prepare computerized account analysis activity reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Involved in new client start-up including helping to transition and train on-site and/or off-site staff, transition of workflow, implementing operation procedures as needed, etc.
  • Schedule and attend meeting with clients as needed to review progress on accounts, problems identified, and recommended improvements.
  • Continually assess the Client Services department and develops/implements/assigns processes, procedures and projects accordingly

Requirement Note


  • Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration with concentration in hospital/health services management or another related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Must have 5-10 years of medical coding or HIM experience.
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheet software, database, and Microsoft Word or other word processing software needed.
  • Excellent written and communication skills needed.
  • Ability to prioritize workload needed
