Our client is an established leader in the FinTech arena. The organization is in hyper-growth mode and are poised to double in size over the next 2 years. The company is seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing. As this will be the first marketing professional the company has hired, it is an opportunity to truly “make it your own” and have a real impact on the organizations' marketing strategy and growth.



About the Newly Created Role:

As Director of Marketing, you will be the first Marketing hire. Various functional marketing needs have been outsourced to third party providers, while strategic initiatives have been led internally by Operations and Technology. You have the exceptional opportunity to enter the company at a stage of rapid growth, where revenue has been doubling year over year for the past three years. This is a unique opportunity for an innovative marketing leader to accelerate the growth momentum, promote company brand positioning, and build a world class marketing engine.

The recent implementation of Salesforce has revealed that the number of inbound leads has grown by an order of magnitude. Outbound client acquisition is growing at a breakneck pace while communication to existing customers has not kept pace with the evolution of the platform itself. You will shape, own, and operate our marketing function to embrace a holistic approach to digital and traditional marketing. You will take the lead in developing successful, long-term digital marketing and branding strategies for our company. As a valued partner, you will be working collaboratively with various teams across our company. You will bring an ownership mentality, a growth mindset and a strong hands-on approach.

 

As the Director of Marketing:  

  • Build digital marketing roadmap
  • Develop strategies for brand recognition
  • Manage all digital marketing channels (e.g., website, blogs, emails, and social media) to ensure brand consistency
  • Demonstrate a big passion for digital technologies and the utilization of different digital marketing channels
  • Measure ROI and KPIs  
  • Develop specific campaigns to create and maintain high levels of customer interaction
  • Oversee social media accounts
  • Manage and improve online content, considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Forecast sales performance trends and act proactively to increase our market segment.  
  • Liaise with Sales to increase client satisfaction through cohesive strategies
  • Anticipate sales performance trends
  • Manage the Inbound and outbound lead to conversion process
  • Oversee the company social media account and internet reviews
  • Research, investigate, and implement suggestions for improvement
  • Traditional marketing techniques needed to address the industry leaders

Requirement Note

You Are Likely to Succeed If:

  • You bring a minimum of 5-7 years of marketing leadership experience, with at least 3-5 years implementing digital marketing strategies to successfully drive growth
  • You possess in depth knowledge of different digital marketing channels  
  • You have a proven track record of exceeding marketing goals and KPIs
  • You are a data-driven, critical thinker, able to understand and interpret data, and use insight to optimize performance and inform future actions.
  • You bring exceptional knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
  • You have experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software
  • You have proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills to enhance communication that leads to collaboration and success.
  • You bring a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company‚Äôs success

Experience and Education:

  • The ideal candidate may be Director of Marketing at a digital first company and is prepared to lead the marketing efforts at a fast-moving successful FinTech company.
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university
