Xactimate Estimator

My client, a leader in the Disaster Restoration industry, in the state of Florida, is looking for an Xactimate Estimator. This role will be located within it's Pensacola FL location, but will also serve it's  Panama City office and need to be able to travel to other locations during catastrophes.

The Estimator is responsible for the initial inspection, estimating, preparing a comprehensive repair estimate, and transitioning jobs to operations for new projects.   This position requires communicating effectively with all levels of ownership, management, homeowners, claims adjusters, other internal support personnel. This position requires experience with commercial large loss restoration.

Essential Job Duties

• Receive new job opportunities and initiate customer contact to schedule project inspection

• Estimate and prepare a comprehensive repair estimate including pictures and a written report.

• Submit reports as per company guidelines and time frames

• Respond timely to requests from company's Retail division for additional information as needed

• Assist with other duties or special projects as requested by management

• Commercial and Residential construction knowledge and background/Florida Building Code

• Proficient organization, interpersonal skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Detailed, organized and able to work independently   as well as within a team

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a changing and growing work environment

• Ability to negotiate and sell projects

Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

• Extensive experience with Xactimate and sketching software

• Minimum 5 years field estimating experience/commercial estimating experience

• Ability to travel as needed

• Experience with Time & Materials
