Our client is a 40-year-old, award winning and rapidly growing full-service advertising agency on Long Island. They are currently seeking an Account Executive with ad agency experience. This is an opportunity to work for a company that provides a true family like atmosphere. They have minimal turnover (this is a newly created position due to growth) because the leadership and staff genuinely care about and respect each other.

The focus of the role will be to partner with clients and help achieve their advertising goals by working with internal team members and external client contacts.

The Account Executive will manage and implement the day-to-day activities of accounts, initiate and participate in strategic planning while demonstrating a deep knowledge of the clients’ business and brand.

Job Description:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with existing and future clients, maintaining excellent communications and, with the support of the agency team, proactively providing insights and ideas
  • Working with the client team to create an implementation plan to achieve the client’s campaign objectives by reviewing the strategic plan, flushing out tactics, submitting to client for feedback and approval.
  • Staying abreast of each campaign's current project and financial status by actively engaging in all meetings pertaining to the project and consistent communications with the client to manage needs, deliverables and expectations.  
  • Acting as the main client contact for managing questions, concerns, and project feedback by communicating with client and preparing status/call reports.
  • Consulting with creative and media teams to communicate client goals, develop campaign strategy and strategic solutions and direct the implementation of same.  
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget and conduct timely billing relating on accounts.  
  • Participating in new business pitches to include proposal writing, strategic collaboration, and presentations.  

Job Requirements:


  • Either 2+ years of agency experience working as an Account Executive, Account Coordinator, Junior/Assistant Account Executive, etc. OR 2+ years marketing experience on the client side; working directly with agency partners.
  • Skill and talent as a strategic thinker, but also as a “doer”
  • Familiarity with both traditional and digital advertising
  • Experience with media planning, client budgeting and working with creative
