Excellent career opportunity for associate attorney with 2-5 years of experience. With 12 attorneys on staff, our Midtown client is large enough to provide resources and support, and small enough to allow for a broad range of responsibilities so that you can learn and grow.
Job Description:
Our client is a boutique Manhattan commercial law firm. Most clients are in the property, construction, engineering, architecture or real estate development industries. You will represent these clients in a wide array of litigation and claims, including professional malpractice, construction defects and delays, insurance disputes and indemnification obligations. You will also assist with general corporate and transactional needs, such as shareholder, contractor and employment agreements. Draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
Job Requirements:
Attorney should have experience performing legal research, preparing legal memoranda and assisting with drafting of pleadings, briefs, affidavits and other legal filings as well as discovery demands. Ideal candidate has commercial litigation experience such as insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, premises liability, etc.
Candidate will maintain client relationships and must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
401k, gym in building. Collegial work environment and very competent team. Current schedule is Mon-Fri in office.
Admission in NY required.
