They are seeking an AutoCAD Detailer/Drafter to work out of their midtown New York, NY corporate HQ.

They specialize in high-rise construction and major construction projects such as hotels/resorts, airports, commercial complexes, and stadiums while managing safety on hundreds of new buildings, demolitions, exterior façade repairs and other civil projects such as power plants, transit facilities, and hospitals.

They are seeking an AutoCAD Detailer/Drafter to work out of their midtown New York, NY corporate HQ.

NOTE: This is an onsite role located in New York, NY and is not a remote opportunity. Only candidates accessible to midtown Manhattan will be considered.

The ideal AutoCAD Detailer/ Drafter will manage projects from start to finish, including performing site visits, communicating with the client, and drafting accurate site safety and other engineering plans. Site safety experience and knowledge of NYC Building Code is highly preferred. The AutoCAD Detailer/Drafter will report directly to the company’s Director of Engineering.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred

• Auto CAD competence required; must be proficient in current releases of AutoCAD

• Must be able to read and understand construction plans and drawings

• Knowledge of building codes including working with NYC Department of Building and zoning regulations is preferred

• Thorough understanding of drafting standards

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader and Excel is required

• Must possess good communication skills, ability to collaborate in a team environment and meet deadlines.
