They are currently seeking a passionate Business Development Specialist, Digital & Media Platforms to play a pivotal role in driving sales for their integrated media products and services.

 

NOTE: This is an onsite role located in Frederick, MD with the potential to transition to Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) once the Specialist completes training and starts to develop their portfolio of business.

 

This is not a fully remote position.

 

 

Overview

 

This successful and forward-thinking broadcast media company is seeking talented and dynamic Business Development Specialist to selling multiple mediums and solutions for two of their Maryland-based broadcast properties.

 

 

The ideal specialist is motivated, goal-oriented, and highly competitive with a proven accomplished record of over-achieving sales goals. To be successful in this role you must have a passion for sales, a drive to make money, the focus to be successful, and have Traditional, Technology or Digital Sales experience. You should also be resourceful, organized, and a customer-focused problem solver with the ability to cultivate new and existing client relationships. Key Responsibilities:

 

▪ Ability to identify client business needs, a deep understanding of their goals, objectives, and processes as well as their external environment to proactively develop customized advertising solutions to meet client objectives.

▪ Deliver effective multi-platform, integrated sales presentations (broadcast, digital, events), negotiation and closing.

▪ Beyond broadcast products, have strong familiarity and become fully versed in selling digital assets (streaming, stations website and social advertising) and digital audience extension products to deliver a complete marketing solution to advertisers.

▪ Excel at new business by networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals etc. to build and maintain a full pipeline of sales prospects.

▪ Prepare orders, resolve billing issues, prepare and submit regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts and competitive analysis.

▪ Ability to think creatively and generate original ideas.

▪ Proficient in Microsoft office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools. Must be digitally savvy.

▪ Excellent communication and presentation skills – must have high energy and passion for sales.

▪ Experience developing new business relationships in an outside sales role – must be flexible and creative.

▪ Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects.

▪ Positive attitude with the willingness to get beyond comfort zone to grow professionally.

▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field is preferred; 2+ years in tech or media sales background.

▪ Must have a valid and clean driving record, use of automobile and subject to legally mandated exemptions.
