Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Chef and Kitchen Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus, incorporating innovative and enticing dishes that align with our gastropub concept.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Cost Control and Inventory Management: Implement cost-effective measures, maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and place orders to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Staff Training and Development: Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high level of performance and uphold food safety standards.


Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a restaurant chef with strong management experience.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes.
  • Leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and guide a team by treating staff with dignity and earning their respect.
  • Extensive knowledge of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
