They are looking for a Director of Content Strategy to lead the agency with responsibility for strategic direction, creative concepting, messaging development and implementation for all agency clients and for the agency itself.

They are looking for a  Director of Content Strategy  to lead the agency with responsibility for strategic direction, creative concepting, messaging development and implementation for all agency clients and for the agency itself.

 

NOTE: This hybrid role is 2 days remote with 3 days in presence at the company's state of the art HQ in Hauppauge, Long Island, NY. Only candidates accessible to Long Island will be considered.

 

The Director is both client facing and managerial, with supervision of a creative director and copywriters, as well as collaborative, working with all agency departments in campaign development and execution across all tactics and assets. This is an extremely hands-on position, requiring the ability to write and edit content on a daily basis. Critical to the role is experience in our key verticals: Higher Education, Healthcare and Financial Services. 10+ years of experience required; agency experience a must.



Job Requirements:

Strategic

 

  • Reviews, contributes to and analyzes research that informs brand, marketing and creative strategies for new and existing clients.
  • Leads the development of strategic brand platforms based on key research insights.
  • Develops strategic rationale to support the creative work for presentation to the client.
  • Responsible for agency content marketing strategy, identifying topics, and delivery channels and spearheading content creation to position the agency as a thought leader.

 

New Business

 

  • Contributes to proposals and presentations for new business acquisition, including the writing of case studies and the development and/or presentation of creative work (existing and/or speculative).
  • Key member of the agency’s new business committee.
  • Responsible for writing all the agency’s marketing communications.

 

Creative

 

  • Contributes breakthrough ideas and thinking to make the agency team and work output smarter.
  • Develops creative concepts for multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Develops identities for new and existing/refreshed brands including name, taglines, brand stories (mission, vision, values) and guidelines.
  • Creates content for brands across all traditional and online channels and tactics, including websites.

 

Communications

 

  • Crafts strong presentations and deliver them as a talented showman (or woman).
  • Leads insightful, well-rationalized strategic recommendations and points of view and sells them to the client.
  • Articulates effective strategic rationale and logic flow.
  • Is clear, concise, articulate, focused, persuasive, wise, responsive and confident.

 

Managerial

 

  • Supervises creative director and copy writer and freelancers to ensure timely delivery of a quality work product.
  • Acts a strategic gatekeeper for the studio to ensure that work is being developed to the creative brief.
  • Is the lead creative contact for the client, with strong relationships at the senior level.
  • Leads cross-functional teams at a macro level in a fast-paced environment with confidence and poise.
  • Manages needs of team members to maximize learning, personal development and productivity.
  • Develops performance reviews and provides compensation recommendations.

  • Brings good judgment, a broader perspective and stress management to all situations, unexpected or other.
  • Acts as a leader and a role model, contributing positively to the agency morale.
