Our client has been one of North America's Top Glass Companies for 30 years. They are looking for a Drafter to join their team of top professionals on Long Island.


Job Description:

  • Create and modify existing drawings in support of company projects.
  • Create and/or modify existing drawings based on inputs from Estimating and Drafting Manager.
  • Work will be assigned to the drafter via the Drafting Manager with inputs from the Estimating department.
  • Analyze projects and proposals to provide Project Management with details to complete project submittals.
  • Analyze drawing and make corrections as needed.
  • Utilizing ESub or similar software to Manage system of record with Drafting information/dates.
  • Ensure that drawings are produced based on scope of work and architectural guidelines.
  • Revise drawings as needed based on Architect/GC comments.
  • Assist with Material Take-Off and Glass Take offs.
  • Input projects into LogiKal for fabrication.


Job Requirements:

 

  • Experienced drafting and design professional.
  • Experience using Computer‐Aided Design (CAD) System.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain project timeline and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Math skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to coordinate and work with PM, Estimating, Shop and other departments
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2015+ all Microsoft Office software.
  • Working knowledge of eSUB Project Management Software & Bluebeam
  • Ability to verbally communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Must be organized and possess ability to prioritize work.
  • MUST have a positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Experience with Glass Industry (Preferred).
  • Experience with Carpentry/Millwork, or Exterior façade (a plus).
