Our client is a 70 year old international company with an extensive line of systems and instruments for measurement and analysis in medical diagnostics, R&D, clinical testing, and other areas. The are currently seeking a Field Service Representative to manage a Long Island Territory. Job Description:

Salary : $70000 - $95000

The FSR will go to client locations and provide on-site service, maintenance, and training of medical instruments.  

 

Function of Role:

  • Travel to customer sites - install, repair, or perform preventive maintenance on medical lab equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting both on the phone and via site visits.
  • Periodically assist in training other technicians on specific equipment.
  • Install lab equipment and train lab staff. Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance. Test and calibrate analyzers and other equipment used in quality control.
  • Prepare service reports, logs and expense reports.
  • Keep management informed of service results, customer issues, and updates to customer lab policies or practices that could be beneficial to operations.
  • Provide top-notch customer service and promote medical laboratory science benefits and/or additional services.
  • Monitor, organize, and maintain parts inventory to keep in stock


Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree or technical school certification
  • 2+ years of experience working with analyzer equipment, medical instrumentation, electronics, or meters preferred
  • Must love to “Take things apart and put them back together”
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Hematology and chemistry experience preferred
  • Medical Technologist (MT) a plus
  • Some training experience preferred
