Executive Alliance is pleased to represent our client who is a leading  health information exchange. They are seeking a PMP Certified Healthcare IT Program Manager in the NY tri-state area (NY/NJ/CT) - who will be able to work on a 12-18 month contract and report to the Assistant Vice President of Project Management Office. The reason for the tri-state requirement is that there are periodic meetings in NYC that the candidate will need to be on site for.


Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the program management approach and maintain program management plans including master program schedule, work breakdown structure, master program schedule, major milestone deliverables, stakeholder analysis, change, issue and risk management, staffing plan, and program budget.
  • Ensure that the project scopes are achievable and sustainable.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder teams in coordination and completion of full lifecycle for all types of projects.
  • Work across departments to maintain project plans and budgets for the program.
  • Evaluate and assess the programs’ strengths and weaknesses.
  • Monitor projects and oversee project managers to ensure goals and schedules are met.
  • Escalate issues to the program owner expeditiously.
  • Meet with program stakeholders to present the program status and goals.
  • Work with development team to ensure staff utilization and resource planning for project assignments.
  • Collaborate with the program owner to set priorities, balance resources, and manage critical issues.
  • Ensure completion of all the projects included in the program
  • Maintain the interdependence of the projects
  • Monitor/Manage overall success of the program.  


Job Requirements:

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in interoperability including HL7, FHIR, and IHE protocols.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience managing programs in a health care organization.
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience as an IT Program Manager.
  • Expertise in Project Management best practices and to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Expertise in process design and reengineering.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Strong goals setting and task prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in reporting project progress through dashboard presentations, project metrics, trend analysis, executive reporting.
  • Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in managing teams and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Very strong communication, presentation, relationship building, and strategic planning skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in MS-Project, and other MS office suite of products (Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No direct reports yet oversee all the project managers assigned to the program.
  • Hold team members accountable for following the standards and guidelines of the program plan.

EDUCATION:

  • Required - Bachelor's Degree
  • Required - PMP Certification
  • Desired    - Master's Degree in a healthcare-related field.

Contract Rate Range $75-85 per hour
