Our client is a specialized, high-growth Managing General Insurance Agency (MGA) who is looking for a Junior Staff Accountant to join their New York City Team.

Job Description:

• Assist in the construction and habitational programs of insurance industry.
• Assist in handling the AR/AP.
• Handle general ledger analysis and work closely with the controller.
• Develop successful and effective working relationships with Underwriters, claims team, service team members, managers and members of other departments.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree - Major in Accounting is a plus
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• GL analysis
• Experience with Excel, QuickBooks or any other accounting programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong ability to learn new technology
