Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician.
Job Description:
Responsibilities: Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, repairing, and ensuring that Preventative Maintenance tasks are executed in a timely manner.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and repair back of the house base building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair heat pump wall units and apartment appliances (Washers/Dryers/Stoves/Microwaves/Refrigerators)
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on back of the house base building equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair domestic water heaters
- Complete tasks in a timely manner and to the skill level expected of an experienced back of the house Maintenance Technician.
- Keep accurate inventory of all parts and equipment needed for repairs of Appliances and HVAC equipment
- Keep records of service requests and provide weekly reports to the maintenance director
- Communicate effectively with all building supers and maintenance director
- Perform semi-annual mechanical evaluations with maintenance director
Qualifications:
- Must be able to fix a/c heat pump wall units
- Must be able to perform electrical & mechanical repairs
- Must have experience in servicing appliances
- Trade School/Manufacturer’s Training Certificates a plus
- Valid NY Driver's license.
- OSHA 10-hour training certification
- Basic computer skills needed
- Possess excellent communication skills e.g. friendly and courteous
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer and Internet knowledge.
- Ability to use Outlook.
- Ability to operate and understand personal computer functions and company utilized software packages.
