Our Client is a professionally recognized environmental planning firm who is looking to add a Mid-Level Environmental Planner to their growing team of top professionals.


Job Description:

We are seeking experienced, self-motivated, and energetic Environmental Planners to support work with numerous municipal and private clients on Long Island.

  • Complete planning/zoning studies and prepare document graphics.
  • Review development applications (site and subdivision plans, special use permits).
  • SEQRA compliance.
  • Report preparation.
  • SEQRA document preparation, including EISs, for public and private clients.

   



Job Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the principles, practices & techniques of environmental and land use planning, and a working knowledge of New York State land use and environmental regulations.
  • Candidate may have proficiency in related fields including urban design, ecology, hydrology, geology, geography, or similar field.
  • Excellent writing and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiarity with ESRI GIS.
  • AICP Certification is preferred.
