Our client is seeking a Project Director of Public Transportation Capital Programs.

Job Description:

The role of the Director will include supervision of a staff of at least a dozen professionals having considerable operating and technical experience in transportation, engineering, and technological disciplines. The role of the staff will be to evaluate, and monitor planned and ongoing capital program and projects, including work scope development and implementation, budget and cost control and performance, risk management, quality management and other matters. The Director will also interface with members of the different Boards of Directors at regular meetings, will develop formal and informal reports and recommendations of high value, and will assure team access to resources needed to conduct this work – including databases, digital delivery tools, and advanced engineering tools and strategies.



Job Requirements:

Our team seeks a Project Director that has significant experience managing and/or monitoring public transportation capital programs; demonstrated experience in innovation, in managing subject matter experts, breaking down silos and communicating clearly and succinctly with a wide range of stakeholders and individuals. Sustainability and diversity goals are important elements of the capital program; someone with proven leadership capabilities that encompass either or both of these will a benefit to the team. Professional credentials are desirable (PE, RA, AICP, CCM) are preferable but may not be required depending on the candidate. The Director will be an expert at addressing the public in public meetings and other public
