Executive Alliance is pleased to represent our client who are private, family-owned construction company operating in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland focusing on new site development, construction and property management. They have 200 employees that develop and manage approximately 50,000 rental apartments in 12 states, including 10,000 affordable apartments.

They are seeking a Project Manager, Multi-Unit Residential Construction to work with their team out of the company's HQ in Rochester, New York.

The Project Manager will be accountable for job procurement, estimating, budgeting, planning, management, and on-time project execution. The position will have a direct interface with clients, landlords, subcontractors, suppliers, and other constituents to ensure timely progress and overall job satisfaction and completion. Our project managers must demonstrate strong leadership, commercial construction knowledge, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Effectively utilize job resources to ensure on-budget, on-time projects
Coordinate and track progress of job-specific building trades
Create teams and assign job responsibilities
Monitor job progress according to prearranged schedule
Communicate with all job participants including architects, building managers, sub-contractors, inspectors and fire marshals
Conduct and attend regular project status meetings
Carry out frequent inspection of construction sites
Issue purchase orders, change orders and all project documentation
Resolve conflicts as needed
Ensure safety compliance and desired quality standards
Obtain building permits, inspections and final certificate of occupancy
Manage multiple multi-faceted projects, budgets and manpower concurrently
Close out projects and ensure client satisfaction

Skills and Experience

Must have commercial construction experience
Must be able to manage multiple tasks
Competent in preparing construction documents reflecting design intent, scope, budget and schedules
Ability to understand construction plans
Preferable experience: Procore, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Construction Project Management experience: 10-15 years (Required)
