Our client is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Quality Lab Manager to conduct  qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses for process control.  Collect, prepare and analyze chemical, test solutions and physical samples and evaluate their properties, relationships, and reactions. Maintain Quality Lab records to ensure NADCAP compliance.  


Job Description:

Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses for process control.

 Compile, analyze and interpret test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions. ·

  Collect, prepare and analyze chemical, test solutions and physical samples and evaluate their properties, relationships, and reactions.

 Develop, improve, and customize formulas, processes, and analytical methods.

 Write testing procedures and maintain technical records and prepare reports.

 Operate, adjust, and maintain scientific instruments, including, but not limited to pH meters, analytical   balances, humidity chambers and compression testing equipment.

 Keeps inventories of supplies and stocks on hand for laboratory use.

 Troubleshoot and solve problems within chemical processing

 Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets   (MSDS) Sheets

 Assist Quality Manager with the company safety program and OSHA compliance

 Maintain Quality Lab records to ensure NADCAP compliance

 Ensure compliance of Waste Water Treatment Facility

 Prepare Monthly/Quarterly waste water, Hazardous Waste and VOC usage reports

 Perform weekly hazardous waste inspections.

 Perform related work as assigned

 Perform and maintain all required process and mechanical testing             such as Tensile and Wedge Cracks  Create 1st Article Inspection  

 Create and maintain Inspection IMS Sheets



Job Requirements:

Chemistry - Knowledge of chemical composition and properties and their chemical processes and transformations. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.

Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.

Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Communication - Ability to convey information effectively to the management team.
Computers – Must be familiar and efficient with Microsoft Office.

Documenting/Recording Information - Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.

Familiar with AS9100 Quality Management System and NADCAP

Three to Five years' experience in aerospace chemical process solution analysis, mechanical testing, OSHA chemical safety requirements and hazardous waste disposal.
