Our client who is a diverse and growing company that has a tangible impact on the global economy is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst. The Analyst – Claims III is responsible for overseeing and project managing a portfolio of cases, inclusive of large and benchmark cases, as well as directing work activities for an area of business and/or have direct reports.  They are responsible for organizing all activities on these cases including case research, documenting, marketing, interaction with clients and claims administrators, claims filings, and audit responses. This person may also assist other team members as appropriate on other cases. The position is a fully remote role. 

Job Description:

Key Job Function:

• Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting for claim valuations.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for estimations relating to claim valuations.
• Report on claim performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Work closely with the Client Services team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Evaluate a claims financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Perform market research, review, and perform analysis of historical client financial related transactions, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comparisons to create claim valuations.
• Trade desk experience in securities.
• Detail oriented with demonstrated accuracy in a deadline driven environment.
• Understanding of financial instruments transactions including interest rate and foreign exchange transactions such as LIBOR, Euribor, Euroyen based transactions; commodities transactions; asset swaps.
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg is extremely helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, SSRS).

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
• MBAs are preferred
• Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields
• Proven work experience in a quantitatively heavy role
• Must have a strong quantitative and analytical competency
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
