Salary : $80000 - $110000

Service Manager- Commercial Laundry Equipment

Our client, one of the leaders in the commercial/industrial laundry equipment industry in the US, is seeking a Supervisor for their Service Department with experience working in the laundry equipment business at some point in their career. This position pays between $80,000 and $110,000 per year.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • ·         Test equipment prior to shipping when sold (or supervise the testing technician)
  • ·         Create daily schedules for field technicians; ensuring efficiency when addressing urgent service   calls in a timely manner
  • ·         Supervise technicians, ensure their efficiency in the field by implementing effective time management practices, minimize idle time, anticipate and arrange after hours when needed.
  • ·         Train new technicians; assist in hiring process.
  • ·         Provide direction, leadership, and assistance to in house and field technicians.
  • ·         Evaluate the capabilities, strengths and weaknesses of technicians.
  • ·         Provide technical support to field technicians as well as customers.
  • ·         Resolve service issues over the phone and in the field. After hours support when needed.
  • ·         Coordinate repairs and services within the guidelines and procedures outlined by the Company. ​ Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • ·         Have a clear understanding of work orders: scope of work, parts required. Be able to provide support to field technicians and discuss service work with customers   
  • ·         Ensure that all service issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • ·         Be responsible for parts and material inventory in the trucks; monitor inventory on hand, order inventory in a timely manner, ensure accuracy of inventory dispatch process, and perform periodic stock-counts.
  • ·         Follow-up on service parts order and back orders with the Parts Dept
  • ·         Show Attention to detail; operate self-sufficiently; demonstrate ability to perform under minimal supervision

  • Computer proficiency (basic skills - data entry, Outlook, Excel, Word; some QuickBooks experience very helpful)
  • Clean DL, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
