Executive Alliance are please to represent our client who are a leading advisory for mergers and acquisitions activities and programs around the world.

 

 

They are seeking a Shareholder Research Analyst to assist their clients and leadership team.

 

 

NOTE: This opportunity is currently fully remote - the future engagement being a hybrid role with periodic presence at the company's midtown New York, NY location in adherence with local public health measures.


Job Description:

Salary : $80000 - $120000

 

This position will focus on analyzing and reporting on institutional investor voting at U.S. shareholder meetings by utilizing data analysis, research of proprietary and external databases, and deductive reasoning.

 



Job Requirements:

 

 

This position will require a candidate to:

 

  • Have strong abilities to research across multiple databases, historical and current
  • Have familiarity with or become knowledgeable about key corporate governance issues and influencers, including proxy advisory services such as ISS and Glass Lewis
  • Have knowledge of (or be willing to learn about) SEC filing documents such as 13Fs, Form N-PXs, and proxy statements
  • Prepare reports in PowerPoint and Excel

 

 

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field
  • Ability to analyze large, complex, and dynamic data sets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-direction and initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple project team requests
  • Strong written and oral business communications skills
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member
  • Advanced-level MS Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • U.S. employment authorization without current or future need for sponsorship

 

 

 

This position is ideally suited for persons looking for a long-term commitment to a career in a dynamic field of shareholder engagement and analytics. Your data analysis skills will enable you to contribute to insights used by Innisfree’s clients to make actionable decisions with respect to shareholder engagement on merger votes, proxy contests and other high-stakes shareholder votes.

 

Applicants should possess a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field of study and should have at least three to five years’ experience working in the financial industry. Please highlight if you have a working knowledge of custodian/broker processing data when applying and/or experience within proxy voting or tender offers.
