Our client is a well-known and very well established multi-event catering facility located in Nassau County  is looking for a motivated Sous Chef to play an integral part within the culinary team. The company is offering a base salary of $85k, highly comprehensive benefits package, PTO, top leadership, and great opportunity for career growth.


Job Description:

Salary : $75000 - $85000

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Executive Chef to ensure a positive and productive environment with the entire culinary team
  • Manage all back of house staff in a high-volume kitchen that operates multiple events simultaneously
  • Preparation and plating of all food
  • Assist in overseeing monthly inventory in conjunction with the Executive Chef
  • Maintain and comply with all current health and sanitation regulations
  • Assist Executive chef with menu planning, presentation and execution


Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef
  • MUST have experience in a multi-event catering venue
  • Strong knowledge of culinary and back of house operations
  • Ability to effectively foster a team building environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
