Job Description of Tax Accountant:

• Prepare multi-state sales, gross receipts and property tax returns (not income tax)
• Reconcile general ledger sales to tax reports
• Maintain and update tax rules in Avalara
• Compliance and responses to tax authorities

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience of Accountant:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or taxation
• Sales tax in 7+ states; property tax in 2+ states
• Reconciliation to GL prior to filing sales tax return
