They are seeking a Web Project Manager with strong project management experience to help guide digital development programs from planning to deployment on behalf of the agency and their clients.

 

NOTE: This is either a HYBRID role with two (2) days of Monday and Friday remote and three (3) days of Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday in office at the company's state-of-the-art HQ in Hauppauge, Long Island, New York OR a REMOTE role for someone with periodic accessibility to Western Long Island, New York.

Responsibilities:

 

This position reports to the VP of Digital Experience. As the Website Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple, simultaneous, website design and development projects from start to finish. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and will work closely with our design and development teams to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is someone with extensive experience managing complex technical, design and development projects, who is highly organized and detail oriented, is comfortable defining and assigning tasks, communicates effectively and transparently with the client and the team, is comfortable raising concerns and clearing blockers, is self-motivated, and takes initiative to improve the processes for web development projects.

Strong communications and writing skills, along with the ability to translate “technical speak” into plain English for nontechnical audiences, are required. PMI – PMP or DASM Certification or similar is preferred.

Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets in company internal project management systems
  • Assign resources and track allocation on each project consistent with the scope of work and budget
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion of all tasks
  • Communicate with clients to understand project specific requirements related to project timelines, review periods, stakeholder needs, and critical milestones, and ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinate with design and development teams to ensure all project requirements are understood and can be achieved within the timeline.
  • Track project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
  • Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate
  • Conduct project status meetings and prepare progress reports for clients and internal stakeholders showcasing tasks completion, budget and burndown.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, project management, or a related field and 3+ years of experience managing complex website development projects
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as Monday.com, JIRA or similar
  • Experience working in an agency environment
  • Experience preparing comprehensive timelines and status reports for review with the client.
  • Experience working with large development teams running scrum meetings, development sprints and sprint retrospectives. PMI PMP or DASM certification or similar is a preferred, but not required
